Legal
Privacy policy
Draft of October 7, 2026
The short version
- myFriday is local-first. Your tasks, chats, settings and API key stay on your iPhone.
- When you use an AI feature, your iPhone sends the request directly to the AI provider you chose, Anthropic or OpenAI. We aren't in the middle and don't get a copy.
- The only personal data we collect is the email address you give us on this website to join the waitlist, and any email you send us.
- No ads, no tracking, no selling data, and no third-party analytics SDKs.
Who we are
myFriday is made by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us"). For anything about privacy, email [email protected].
What stays on your device
In the app as it ships (the Free, Pro and Founding Lifetime plans, all using your own API key), these stay on your iPhone:
- Your lists, tasks, projects and captures
- Your conversations with the assistant
- Your settings and setup answers, such as her name, what she calls you, your theme, voice, check-in times and spend cap
- Your API key, stored in the iOS Keychain
- The activity log of everything the assistant does
- What the app reads from Apple Calendar, Reminders, Contacts and, if you turn it on, Apple Health. That data stays in those apps and is read on the device.
We don't run a server that stores any of this, and none of it is sent to us. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, app data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms.
What goes to your AI provider
When you use an AI feature, the app sends a request from your phone directly to the provider you chose, using your API key. A request contains:
- the message you sent, or the job you asked for (for example, "prepare my morning brief");
- the context needed to do it, such as relevant tasks, today's calendar events, reminders that are due, and, if you turned on Health, the Health data that request uses;
- instructions that tell the model how to behave, including its safety rules.
The provider processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy, which you accepted when you created your key. Those terms decide how long the provider keeps the data and how it may use it:
- Anthropic: anthropic.com/legal
- OpenAI: openai.com/policies
We don't receive copies of these requests or the replies.
What we collect
The waitlist on this website
- What
- Your email address, the phone platform you picked, the date you signed up, and a note that you signed up on this site.
- Why
- To email you about the TestFlight beta and the launch. Nothing else. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Where
- Cloudflare Workers KV, a storage service run by Cloudflare, Inc. on our behalf.
- How long
- Until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it for beta and launch notices, whichever comes first.
- Removing it
- Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
Stopping automated signups
To stop bots, the waitlist keeps a counter tied to your IP address for up to one hour, after which it's deleted automatically. The form also has a hidden field that catches simple bots.
Hosting this website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. This site doesn't set cookies of its own, and we don't run analytics or tracking scripts on it.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions go through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card details. The app checks with the App Store which plan you've bought so it can unlock features. Apple's privacy policy covers what Apple collects.
Emails you send us
If you email support, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you. Please don't include your API key or private content.
Crash reports
The app doesn't include its own crash reporting. If we add it, it will be opt-in, scrubbed of your content, and described here before it ships. Separately, if you've turned on Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers, Apple may share crash data and usage statistics with us. In the TestFlight beta, Apple shares crash reports and any feedback you choose to send.
What we don't do
- No ads and no ad networks.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling, renting or sharing your personal data for advertising.
- No third-party analytics SDKs in the app or on this site.
- No access to your chats, tasks or API key.
Integrations
- Apple Calendar, Reminders and Contacts are read and written on your iPhone through Apple's frameworks, only after you grant permission in iOS. Parts of them may be included in a request to your AI provider when it's needed, such as today's events for a morning brief.
- Apple Health is optional and read-only, and the app reads only the types you allow. Health data is never used for advertising and never sent to us. It may be included in a request to your AI provider when you ask for something that uses it, such as a brief that mentions your sleep.
- Google Calendar (planned). You'll sign in with Google on your phone, and the access token will stay on your device. We'll update this policy before it ships. Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Connectors to other tools (planned). Anything you send through a connector goes to that service under its terms.
The Managed plan (coming later)
Managed will include AI usage without your own key, so requests on that plan would pass through a service we run. That changes what we handle. Before Managed launches, we'll update this policy to say exactly what that service processes and keeps, and you'll choose it knowingly. Nothing changes for people using their own key.
Children
myFriday isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, email [email protected] and we'll delete it. AI providers set their own minimum ages for API accounts.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, or to object to how it's used. For waitlist and support data, email [email protected] and we'll respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Data inside the app is already in your hands: export the activity log or erase everything from the app's settings. We don't sell or share personal data as California law defines those terms.
Security
Your API key is stored in the iOS Keychain. Connections to AI providers and to this website use HTTPS. Waitlist data is stored with Cloudflare, and only the people who run myFriday can access it.
International transfers
Cloudflare and the AI providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
We'll post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we'll tell you in the app, or by email if you're on the waitlist, before it takes effect.

App Store privacy label, summarized
| Where | Label |
|---|---|
| The myFriday app, using your own key (Free, Pro, Founding Lifetime) | Data Not Collected. Your tasks, chats, settings and key stay on your device, and AI requests go from your device to your provider without passing through us. |
| The waitlist on myfriday.technology | Contact Info: Email Address, used only to tell you about the beta and launch. Not linked to tracking. |
The waitlist is part of this website, not the app, so it won't appear on the app's App Store label; it's listed here for completeness. This summary is our reading of Apple's definitions and will be confirmed when we submit the app. If Managed launches, the label will be updated.
